Heuristic Review

Introduced by Jakob Nielsen, the heuristic review encompasses the 10 most general principles for interaction design or more simply put – experience-based techniques for problem solving, learning, and discovery. While it’s important to focus on getting visitors to your website, it’s just as important that those visits lead to conversions. An easy-to-use interface that is consistent and error-free is imperative to engaging, converting and retaining visitors.

The main goal of a heuristic website review is to help us identify any usability problems including:

  • Are users able to easily find information on your site?
  • Is the information clearly presented?
  • What are users having trouble finding or navigating through?

At Brand Aid, the heuristic review is utilized as an objective tool for conducting a quantified analysis of a client’s existing website. We find that this is a great way to determine whether you need a new website, refresh or user experience. Would you like to get an expert analysis of your website? Contact us to learn more.
